The single-subject rule of the Minnesota Constitution was supposed to limit the scope of a single bill in the legislature. This session Rep. Cal Bahr introduced. HF 986. It would put the single subject rule on the ballot as a constitutional amendment to strengthen the existing provision. The bill now has over 20 authors from all three caucuses.
On February 7, 2019 the New House Republican Caucus held a media advisory on the introduction of the bill.
